Roosevelt’s Shopping Trip

Come along with young Roosevelt as he journeys to the Old Country Store and gathers items for his mammy. Although our own childhood days may have been filled with fun and game play young Roosevelt must do many chores around the house and completing the grocery list is one of them.

Participants will help Roosevelt complete the shopping list. Also, participants will experience the changing faces of Aunt Jemima and Mr. George Washington Carver and his contributions to agriculture.

Throughout the program various memorabilia and historic items are integrated with innovative lessons and activities. This is a hands on interactive program ideal for lower grade levels.

To arrange for this program at your school, please call Ralph Hunter at (609) 704-7262, fax (609) 704-7263.
