One of the cornerstone schools of Brown vs. the Board of Education was Claymont High School of Claymont Delaware. In 1952, 2 years before the historic 1954 Supreme Court decision, a group of students from all-black Howard High integrated peacefully into all-white Claymont High School.
Photos, articles and other items that tell the story of the little Delaware town that had a huge impact in America history are on display from October 9, 2015 to January 14, 2016 at the African American Heritage Museum of Souther New Jersey's Atlantic City location.
