The African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, Inc. will present an exhibition entitled, Mayronzy’s Journey: Paintings by Quinton Greene. Mayronzy is the African foster daughter of Quinton and Priscilla Greene.

Artist Quinton Greene returns to the Museum with a series of paintings that tell the story of his foster daughter in Ghana Africa. Mr. and Mrs. Greene have provided food, school supplies, and medications for Mayronzy through an international outreach program. The couple plans to contribute to her college education with a portion of the proceeds from sales of the artist’s colorful paintings drawn from Greene’s memory, emotion, and environment.

Although self-taught, Quinton Greene has studied the work of artists he admires and has developed his own distinctive style. He approaches the canvas without fear to create compositions infused with bold color often incorporating a variety of mixed media in his work.

"Mayronzy’s Journey" will be on view from April 16, 2023 to July 30, 2023 at the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center located at 661 Jackson Road in Newtonville, New Jersey.

Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Newtonville museum hours:  Monday-Friday: 10 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday/Sunday by appointment.
