AAHMSNJ will host an artist's reception & fundraiser for Mayronzy (pictured), the subject of Quinton Green's newest exhibit. The event, which will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, will raise money for Mayronzy's education.  She is Quinton and Priscilla Green's foster daughter who lives in Ghana, Africa.

The new exhibit entitled "Mayronzy’s Journey: Paintings by Quinton Greene," will be on display from April 16th to July 30th at AAHMSNJ's Newtonville museum located in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center at 661 Jackson Road in Newtonville, New Jersey.

Artist Quinton Greene returns to the Museum with a series of paintings that tell the story of his foster daughter in Ghana. Mr. and Mrs. Greene have provided food, school supplies, and medications for Mayronzy through an international outreach program. The couple plans to contribute to her college education with a portion of the proceeds from sales of the artist’s colorful paintings drawn from Greene’s memory, emotion, and environment.

Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

AAHMSNJ Newtonville hours are Monday-Friday: 10 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday/Sunday by appointment.
