Field Trips

The past shapes the future.

Our mission is to inspire, educate and inform all year long.  That mission starts with our children.

A trip to AAHMSNJ promises to be a rich educational experience.  Bring your students to the AAHMSNJ for a stimulating tour that will change the way they see the world and their place in it.  Our exhibits create an appreciation for African American Culture, bring to life the struggles and injustices of the past, and inspire by seeing today’s talented local artists on display.

Our permanent exhibits include artifacts that most of today’s school-age children have never seen. These important artifacts are an integral part of our country’s relationship with and historical perspective of African Americans.  They are sure to start conversations that will make a lasting impression.
