Our "Jersey Gents," features a wide variety of works by local male artists has moved to our Atlantic City location. The exhibit is on display now through March 3oth at the our Noyes Arts Garage location at 2200 Fairmount Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ. The exhibit also is also tribute to the legacy of late artist and South Jersey's own Leonard Wilkinson and Anne Glapion.
The opening reception for Jersey Gents takes place Saturday, January 18th from 2 to 5 PM at the Noyes Arts Garage. It is FREE and open to the public.
"Jersey Gents" is a multi-generational blend of talented artists who work with a variety of mediums. It features over 20 New Jersey artists and was curated by Gabrielle L. Peterson. Artists include: Miko Beach, Patrick Freeman, Dr. Richmond Garrick, Ruben Garcia, Sidney B. Gary, Quinton Green, Todd Johnson, Mike Longo, Earl K. Parker, III, Melvin Smith, Lennox Warner and Romare Wilson.
Oil pastel, pointillism, and other mediums and techniques by Leonard Wilkinson (pictured in self-portrait), who passed away in 2017, will also be on display. Wilkinson, is an internationally renowned artist, but little do people know his greatest passion was creating opportunities for up and coming artists. Among some of Wilkinson's greatest artistic contributions is the original portrait of James Usry, the first Black Mayor of Atlantic City.
